    History of Adi Shankara

Gnaana Siddhar Adisankarar (White-robed, Long-haired, long hair tied on top of head as a tuft and with beard, Tamilian from South Pandiya kingdom, Translated Tamils' Indhu Religious scriptures into Sanskrit Hindu scriptures.)

    History of Adisankara

(written by Kandappa Kottai Siddhar Ealanampattiyaar U.Ramasami Pillai, descendant of Karuwooraar Family.)

‘Adisankarar’ was not given to him with the meaning that he was the first Sankara. Aadhi Sivan, Adhi Sankaran, Adhi Paramasivan, Adhi Vedhan, Adhi Naathan … are all commmon names existing in south Tamilnadu. Further, it has been a tradition to give these names to children born in the month Vaikaasi month, that too on Thiruvaadhirai star during the waxing phase of moon. Because these days are related to Wisdom or Gnaanam according to Astrology and Nameology or Numerology.

Today’s Malayalam language was born just two or three hundred years before. At the time Adhisankaran was born, that Chera kingdom came under the South Pandiya Kingdom and only Tamil was the ruling and spoken language. Adhisankaran was born in Tamil Andhanar Family known as Tamil Sivachaariyaars or Gurukkal. This family has the traditional duty of serving in Siva Temples worshipping Sivan in Tamil Language. To give further clarity, Adhisankaran’s father Sivaguru hailed in the family of Sirkazhi Sivapaatha Iruthayar who was the father of Samayakuravar Thiru Gnaana sambandar.

Special Note: Adhisankaran’s family belongs to Tamil Saiva Karuneega Velaalar tradition. Vadalur Vallalaar Thiru Ramalinga Adigalaar was also born in the same Karuneega Velaalar family tradition only. This family is known for its knowledge of worshipping Lord Siva in temples.

So, Karuneegar family priest Sivaguru and his wife Aryammal gave birth in the month of Vaikaasi under Thiruvathirai star during waxing phase of moon to a male child at Kaladi. They gave the child the name ‘Adisankaran’. Adisankaran was born during the period when His Holiness the 11th Pathinensiddhar Peedam founded the Later Chola Kingdom and made the First Vijayalaya King ascend the throne. After King Vijayaalaya ascended to the throne, His Holiness went for a world tour and after returning from the tour His Holiness noted the birth of Adisankaran. That is why, there were clear-cut notes about Adisankaran in the Gurupaarampariyam written by His Holiness. Sankara was born after 785 AD as per Gnaalaguru Siddhar Kaaviriyaatrangkarai Karuwooraar’s notes. Adisankaran obtained very early wisdom and begot a lot of Manthira Siddi and became a Gnaana Siddhar. He lived for a period of 32 years visibly. Then he sat in prayer for achieving Immortal body and Immortal soul for 4 years. So, totally he lived for a period of 36 years only. He was a great scholar in Tamil language at a very early age. As he wanted to completely eradicate the confusions existing in the North India about the Indhu Religion due to Sanskrit language, he learnt the Sanskrit language and developed his skills in that language.

Adisankara wrote many Sanskrit literature using his knowledge in the Tamil Indhu scriptures. But all his efforts went in vain. Brahmins used the sanskrit literature translated from Tamil by Adisankaran to suppress Tamils and Tamil language in addition to damage the True Indhu Religion. The brahmins used the name of Adisankara to confuse the historic facts related to Tamils' Indhu Religion and also to make the Tamils' Indhu Religious traditions meaningless. Because of this the Pseudo Hinduism emerged as India’s religion in addition to differences between Indians based on a newly developed casteism. Adisankara was a Gnana Siddhar as per Pathinensiddhars Religious scriptures. Like Vadalur Vallalaar Ramalinga adigalaar, Adisankara also wrote his divine experiences as vedic songs. Adisankara grew long hair and tied it on top of head called as ‘uchikudumi’. Adisankara also wore only white dress. He lived as devotee of Lord Siva and renounced worldly pleasures such as sex, wealth and property.

Saint Vallalaar Ramalinga adigalaar did not like the way the temple services were being in the existing temples. So, he formed a separate worshipping centre at Vadalur for him exclusively. But Adisankara used his power of mantra to reduce the divine powers of many temples such as Tiruvottiyur (Chennai), Thiruvanaikaval (Trichy), … Adisankara was just 36 years old when he attained Samadhi. Because of very young age, Adisankara damaged many temples without any fore-thinking. Because of him only the brahmins could freely enter into the powerless Temples and use their Sanskrit language inside the sanctum sanctorums of these temples.

That is why, the brahmins accepted the non-brahmin Tamilian who was born in Karuneeka velaalar family as their own Achaarya. Brahmins also started proclaiming that Adisankara was a born brahmin, north aryan and spoke only Sanskrit. Further these brahmins described Adisankara as a clean-shaven monk wearing saffron colour dress in numerous literature, statues and art-works to make as a Brahmin Acharya peedam. This made the society to believe that Tamil-to-Sanskrit translated works done by Adisankara were all original Sanskrit literature.

The brahmins also started cheating the society by spreading the blatant lie that the Tamil divinators namely Vyasar, Kanna Devan, Valmiki, Yagnavalli, Sivan and Murugan … spoke and wrote only in Sanskrit. But in truth, Sanskrit was born only 2000 years back. This very young language claims ownership of the True Indhu Literature written in Tamil 43,73.040 years back. Thus the non-brahmin Adisankaran was made brahmin because he helped the brahmins make the false link between Tamil and Sanskrit.
